Now professionals will be more confident that in a matter of seconds they will find the exact shade the client wants, all thanks to the Dulux Color Scanner from AkzoNobel.
This small handheld device allows you to scan the color of any object without distortion and then select the exact shade using the free Dulux Color Scanner app.
It is now available in 12 countries and is used by over 12,000 professionals. The Color Scanner is a fresh example of how AkzoNobel is innovating and making knowledge more accessible to the global community, beyond just paint and decorative coatings.
Nuno Pena, Global Marketing Director for Professional Coatings and Prep Compounds: “We have provided painters with the best tools and services on several occasions. The Color Scanner is further proof of our commitment to creating solutions that meet quality and market demands. We love not only paints, but also the painters themselves, and we want to help them do their job as efficiently and professionally as possible."
Danny Lucas, CEO and Owner of the Lucas Group: “We've used the Color Scanner for a number of our most significant projects since the beta release in June. The device completely changed the color matching process and the new approach became very popular. The system is used not only by all of our painters, but also by architects to indicate color, and by the clients themselves, who it allows to simplify work with performers and further maintenance of the building."
According to research, nearly 55% of customers feel that the actual paint color is different from what is expected. With the AkzoNobel Dulux Color Scanner, customers and their customers can be confident that the color will be as intended.
Nuno Pena: “We want as many customers as possible to use the Color Scanner. It is easy to carry, requires no calibration and works great with the Dulux Color Scanner app. The measurement accuracy is ≧ 90%, which allows customers to be more confident in the professionalism of painters. The Color Scanner should be in the arsenal of every specialist."
The Color Scanner will be presented as a decorative coating tool for the leading AkzoNobel brands (Sikkens, Dulux, Marshall, Coral and Alba). During the year, it is planned to launch sales in several more countries. Read more about the scanner here.
