It is located on the territory of a "sports park", on the site of a previously existing stadium, whose embankment, field level, entrance tunnels and access roads were used in the new building at the request of the customer. On this historical stone foundation, a steel structure was erected, wrapped on the outside with translucent "covers".
A cladding facade with a red and white geometric ornament (these are the colors of the flag of Poland) hides the multi-part structure, but lets in sunlight (it is made of metal lattice plates). Roof made of teflon material - cable-stayed structure, consisting of inner and outer parts. The indoor arena can be removed on clear days, and in bad weather it can withstand the weight of snow, so the arena is suitable for use in winter, not only for football matches, but also for large conferences. The "folding" roof is retracted into the container on a mast hanging over the center of the field; video screens are also installed there.
The capacity of the spectator stands is 55,000 seats, it is obvious that football and concerts will not be able to fully load the arena, therefore the project provides offices (400 m2, during Euro 2012 they will be used by UEFA administrators and journalists), a conference service area, a fitness center, museum, restaurant.
