The 12-storey house is built on the wooded slope of the Peak Mountain overlooking the island. Its spiral-twisted volume is made up of elongated "turrets": some of them are made of glass and metal, some are lined with stone. There are 10 free-plan apartments in the building (each occupies an entire floor), and downstairs there are two duplexes with their own garden. The layout of the apartments is organized around the central core, so the perimeter is almost completely occupied by windows. The area of the apartments was from 560 m2 to 640 m2.

Gehry is known for his reputation as a "rebel" not only in the field of architecture: he repeatedly expressed contempt for the field of "luxury", and, even talking about this building, he again reminded that he never wanted to design homes for the rich. But in this case, he made an exception, because he realized that he could benefit from his project, and that high-rise buildings in Hong Kong have already become traditional housing for Chinese families, that is, he only added something new to the current situation. What specific benefits and to whom exactly the new residential complex will bring, the architect did not specify.

The difference between Opus Hong Kong and similar buildings, except for the "star" project, lies in the price per 1m2: it will amount to almost 300 thousand Hong Kong dollars (slightly less than 40 thousand USD), which is significantly higher than the existing rates on the local real estate market. Therefore, the developer, hoping for high demand (among other things, the windows of the tower offer a spectacular view of the city center and Victoria Harbor), expects that apartment prices will break all Hong Kong records.
