For the fourth season in a row, famous architects have been working for this ancient Greek theater (the first was Massimiliano Fuksas), and this tradition arose 100 years ago. This time, the new sets were used for the first time in the production of Aeschylus's tragedy Prometheus Liberated by director Claudio Longhi, and until the end of June they will serve for two more Greek plays staged with the support of the National Institute of Ancient Drama: Euripides' tragedy "Bacchae" (directed by Antonio Calenda) and Aristophanes' comedy "Birds" (directed by Roberta Torre).

AMO decorations are divided into three components. The Ring is a suspension bridge that closes the semicircle of the spectator rows, encompasses the stage and the space behind it, and gives the actors another option for entering the stage.

"Machine" is a universal backdrop for performances, a round platform 7 meters high, mirroring the slope of the spectator stands. This disc can rotate (for example, this illustrates thirteen centuries of Prometheus suffering) and spread out in the middle, creating a passage for the actors or denoting dramatic plot twists (the absorption of Prometheus into the bowels of the earth).

The Raft, a round stage for actors and dancers, transforms the space of the orchestra into a kind of altar to Dionysus, recalling the origins of the genre of tragedy.

The materials used are aluminum frame and marine plywood.
