The structure is located on a hillside at the edge of an old vineyard, and its streamlined shape follows the contours of the landscape. Its design is based on the favorite technique of UNStudio architects - “bending”, when an unexpected turn divides the interior into zones. In this case, the staircase is predictably twisted, connecting and, at the same time, separating the two floors of the house.
The villa has only four structural supports - three columns and an elevator shaft. This made it possible to widely use glazing, including corner compartments.
The concept of the project is based on the idea of a connection between the interior and the landscape, which should create parallax - a phenomenon when the position of a stationary object visually changes due to the movement of the observer (who sees the surrounding landscape from anywhere in the house).
The panoramic window of the double-height dining room can be extended, completely removing the boundaries between the internal and external space.
The premises of the villa are located in accordance with the movement of the sun across the sky during the day.
