The 650 m2 house is located near the Atlantic Ocean, in the Montauk area, famous for its fogs and winds. Nevertheless, many New Yorkers, and not only them, own summer houses here - thanks to both the beauty of the scenery and the good fishing: they catch sharks in the ocean.

Customers could build a villa anywhere in the world, but opted for Montauk, so the architects were required to create a home that fully reflects the "spirit of the place."

On the site, there used to be a ranch where horses were bred, so the new villa, when viewed from the south, looks like two one-story rural houses, not connected with each other in any way. From the north, you can see that the building descends from the hill in terraces, and its two parts are connected by a covered "bridge".

Outside, the house is sheathed with cedar shingles and, at first glance, equipped with a traditional gable roof. But the ridge of the roof is shifted, and it has a rather parabolic shape, leading the gaze westward to the lake located there. Blue-gray natural stone is also widely used in the building.

The lintel in the middle of the building seems flat in the daytime, but when illuminated from the inside, it is noticeable that the cedar boards covering it have wedge-shaped outlines. Under it is a courtyard, partly covered with a lawn grating and then turning into green steps. From the top of this "staircase" you can see the hills and the ocean in the distance.

The internal and external staircases of the villa are parallel, separated only by a glass wall. The outside leads to an open terrace with fireplace and dining area and the pool behind it.
