The new building will appear on the territory where News International has been based since 1986 - in London's Wapping area. It is now a walled-off complex that includes Murdoch's printers, Harper Collins, MySpace, Dow Jones and Fox, as well as The Sun, The Times, News of the World and The Sunday Times (all four are part of News International).
As part of the construction of the new headquarters, Leavit intends to open the entire complex into the space of the city, arrange there public spaces, a restaurant and a museum available to residents of the district.
The News International building will be organized around a series of atriums, the main of which, 33 meters high, will be located in the space taken away from the printing house.
The project of Amanda Leavit has already been approved by the municipal authorities, but its implementation has been postponed indefinitely: until the situation on the media market changes for the better.
