The series of public discussions started this week on the problems of preserving historical and cultural monuments will continue. Later on the same day, specialists will discuss the problem "Modern restoration: problems, prospects, new technologies." As before, the doors of the discussion club are open to everyone.
The Arkhnadzor Club, in turn, invites you to a lecture dedicated to the socialist Moscow of 1937 and 1938, seen by a young American woman, Emlyn Davis, daughter of the US Ambassador to the Soviet Union. Emlyn captured the city in her diary entries and countless photographs. The lecture will take place on November 30 at the Museum of Architecture. Here, next week, there will be a lecture "The architecture of the time of Ivan IV and Boris Godunov in 1540-1605", which will be read by Yu. V. Ratomskaya.
At the two-day conference "Art of Medieval Russia and the West (XI-XVI centuries): ways and forms of contacts, masters, works" one will hear reports on medieval Russian temple art, on the parallels of Novgorod architecture with the architecture of Northern Europe, on new studies of the Faceted Chamber of Moscow Kremlin and other discoveries. And in Pushkino the XVII Tsarskoye Selo scientific conference “Russia - Italy. Common Values ”, the speakers will talk about the penetration of Italian culture into Russian at various levels.
The Art of Living in French 2011 is a special exhibition for professional architects and designers, which will take place on November 28-30 at the School of Dramatic Art Theater on Sretenka. An exposition of works by French masters and a thematic conference will be held at the à la française site.
And finally, the traveling exhibition "ABD architects: 20 years of dialogue", dedicated to the work of the workshop founded by Boris Levyant, reached Yekaterinburg. The grand opening of the exposition will take place on November 29 in the Interior Center "Architect".
