On October 10, 2013 in Roermond (the Netherlands), a ceremonial launch of a new production line for the production of environmentally friendly innovative facade panels ROCKPANEL based on stone wool took place. Investments in the project amounted to € 23.6 million. The official launch ceremony was attended by the Minister of Housing and Civil Service of the Netherlands Stef Block, the Danish Ambassador to the Netherlands Ole Moesby and the CEO of ROCKWOOL International Elko van Heel. The guests of honor together launched a new production line.
Sales of ROCKPANEL cladding panels have shown rapid growth in recent years. Reliable and easy-to-handle panels based on stone wool have not only obvious advantages in installation and operation, but also provide unlimited scope for the implementation of the most modern and daring architectural projects. A wide palette of colors and textures, the ability to give unusual shapes, curves, resistance to weathering - these characteristics are attracting more and more designers and architects throughout Europe.
Several projects have already been implemented in Russia using ROCKPANEL in ventilated facades - from the Natural Balance private country house in Naberezhnye Chelny to an office center in Moscow and a residential complex in Kazan. A large number of buildings with facades made of ROCKPANEL slabs can be found in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Denmark. Moreover, this applies to both new construction and reconstruction, in which both the economic and aesthetic components of the project are important. Sustainability of materials is also increasingly becoming a decisive factor in favor of a particular product. ROCKPANEL boards, like all ROCKWOOL products, are based on natural stone and therefore can be recycled. This is also confirmed by an independent assessment of the environmental friendliness of the reputable British Building Research Establishment (BRE), which awarded ROCKPANEL the highest A + / A rating.
Thanks to the opening of a new line, the production capacity of ROCKPANEL will increase 3 times, which means that customers will be able to receive products more quickly. “The launch of a new production line is a response to the demand from our customers who value the aesthetic, technical and sustainability of ROCKPANEL products. In addition, new manufacturing capabilities will enable us to continue to pursue our international expansion strategy. Today, on Sustainability Day *, we see confirmation of our confidence in future plans for the development of ROCKPANEL, in which the efficient use and reuse of raw materials is key,”comments Mark Gerardz, Managing Director of ROCKPANEL.
