Moscow's chief architect Sergei Kuznetsov again this week spoke to the press about the advantages of the competitive system for making urban planning decisions and its difficulties. In an interview with Izvestia, Kuznetsov clarified the situation around the reconstruction of the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin, for which a new competition is likely to be announced. The previous one, according to him, was organized for the benefit of one company and its result, for which Sergei Tkachenko was the only one responsible after the departure of Foster's bureau, does not stand up to criticism. However, not everything is going smoothly in the contests that happened already under Sergei Kuznetsov. The chief architect, for example, said that the winner of the competition for the solution of the Tverskaya Zastava square in the end could not conclude an agreement with the customer and now the building will be designed by Asadov's workshop, which took second place. By the way, two more interesting competitions are expected ahead - on the concept of the development of the Moscow State University campus and the Moscow River zone, which Kuznetsov compares in scale with the project of the Moscow agglomeration.

Perhaps in the near future there will be another major competition - for a parliamentary center. In any case, it is already clear that he will not go to New Moscow. And "Vedomosti" reports that recently the structure of the city government bought out the project of a multifunctional complex on Sofiyskaya embankment: the newspaper suggests that parliamentarians will move here. But another major project - the reconstruction of Pushkinskaya Square - will not happen, which, probably, and fortunately. According to Interfax, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin canceled the destructive decree of his predecessor and now there will be no tunnel or shopping and entertainment center with parking under the square.

But in the Biryulyovo area, according to experts, a new shopping and entertainment center is just needed. “For all the down-to-earthness, there is something in this thought,” comments the editor-in-chief of Afisha Yuri Saprykin on recent events. “In Biryulyov, Dutch urbanists are not needed to build fancy bus stops and design sites; a commercial and unassuming center of culture will be enough.” And on the pages of "Moskovsky Komsomolets" appeared the concept "Novaya Zemlya" by architect Timur Bashkaev, which was already in use in the network, with the help of which it is now proposed to solve the problems of the area that caused a stir. According to the project, all life from the dead earth moves to artificial platforms, where a natural biocenosis is created. However, colleagues found that such "pie-quarters" are profitable only in industrial zones on the banks of the Moskva River, where the cost of housing is not comparable to Biryulyov's.

Portals The Village and RBC, meanwhile, are summing up the results of the seasonal reconstruction of Moscow parks, choosing the most successful projects - from the expansion of Gorky Park in both directions (to Vorobyovy Gory and to Red October) to the reconstruction of a neglected park on Rustaveli Street, which was first commissioned private architectural bureau "Project Meganom". And Moskovskiye Novosti chose the most interesting finds from the What Moscow Wants project, in which Muscovites gave ideas and young architects turned them into ready-made solutions. There is a proposal, for example, to install futuristic "Stump-fingers" at the metropolitan stops and train stations, in which you can warm your hands, and at the same time charge your phone, or mini-pantheons ZEON with various exhibition projects.

The creative also touched the Belyaevo district of Moscow, which the Polish architect Kuba Snopek, a teacher of Strelka, chose for his project to create a new cultural image of the “sleeping area” associated with the founders of conceptualism. Petersburg portal "Karpovka", in turn, made an overview of urban art clusters, partly occupied by historical monuments, and projects for the renovation of St. Petersburg constructivism objects, at the same time finding out how interesting it is for developers to deal with creative youth and the heritage of the avant-garde.

By the way, the Dutch, with its rich constructivist heritage, apparently not accidentally chose “Architecture in the Dutch way. 1945-2000 , which opened in the East Wing of the General Staff. Izvestia did an interview with its curator Gus Bemer. And the Colta.ru portal asked the director of the Moscow Museum of Architecture. Shchuseva Irina Korobyina on expanding the museum exposition to the garage building of Konstantin Melnikov on Novoryazanskaya Street and the results of the competition for the concept of a museum in the architect's house in Krivoarbatsky lane.

But the exhibits of the Perm Art Gallery, most likely, have not yet come to find their own roof over their heads. "Expert" writes that the Governor of Prikamye Viktor Basargin intends to save money by remaking the project of the Peter Zumthor gallery into a project for the reconstruction of the River Station with the placement of the exposition there. The magazine reminds that the project of alteration of the Perm station is familiar, it was carried out under the governor of Chirkunov by the Project Meganom bureau, but the architects refused the request to transfer it to the current government for free.
