In 1955, with the opening of a carpentry workshop in the small town of Piport (Germany), Alfred Meet laid the foundation for the history of the family business UNILUX. The modern company was founded in 1979, the main activity of which was the production of wooden windows, and in 1995 the company was transformed into a joint stock company. In the early 90s, the company took a leading position in the market of wooden windows in Germany, and throughout the entire period this leadership position was strengthened in related areas: the manufacture of wooden entrance doors, partitions, modern plastic windows, double-glazed windows.
In 2000, the presentation of a window made of aluminum and wood took place, which marked the beginning of a new era in the development of the company. Leadership is achieved and maintained in this segment of the German market. In subsequent years, the key directions in the production of structures made of aluminum and wood were expanded, thanks to the introduction in Europe of a new technology for the production of wood-aluminum entrance doors, the FineLine façade post-rail system, as well as the development of an UltraTherm window with increased thermal and physical characteristics. The wide range of aluminum and timber structures has ensured UNILUX AG's unlimited leadership in the market. During this time, the number of employees working in two factories located in Luxembourg and near Trier has reached 800 people.
Combined wood-aluminum window structures
Wood-aluminum windows are produced in two different design options for the external aluminum cover plate and in five different types of wood (oak, alder, pine, larch, exotic varieties) of the interior finish - the LivingLine and ModernLine systems.
The external side is presented in 2,132 different colors to embody the personality of the facade.
The recognized high quality of wood is ensured by its direct purchases all over the world. The wooden surface of the windows is thoroughly protected thanks to the special Wood-Eye pretreatment technology, which allows to select only a smooth surface without the slightest knots. A special feature of UNILUX windows is the elegant design with hidden fittings, which allows not only easy maintenance, but also increased burglary protection. Thanks to the use of such fittings, it was possible to achieve the smallest width of the frame, which contributes to the passage of the largest possible flow of light. For example, the width of the frame of a 2-leaf window together with the frame is 120 mm. Single or multi-section UNILUX windows can have various types of opening: lift-slide mechanisms, tilt-and-turn openings, sliding and folding, "blind" sashes. Terrace doors also have a variety of opening options.
Warm UltraTherm windows
The warm UltraTherm pine window is similar to the UNILUX wood-aluminum window. A distinctive feature is the presence of heat-insulating gaskets and materials between the layers of wood, ensuring the statics of the window. The use of UltraTherm technology provides a window thermal conductivity coefficient of up to 0.7 W / m2K (according to ift Rosenheim tests) or R0 = 1.43 m2 ° C / W (GOST-certificate and APROK data) with an installation width of 78 mm. UNILUX also presents its latest development - the so-called UltraTherm "Passive House" 0.7 (version with data R0 = 1.43 m2 ° C / W) safety class 2 ENV 1627ff, noise protection class IV (42 dB).
Facade system FineLine
Facade FineLine is an aluminum wood, rack-and-pinion system with a width of 50 mm. Architects and developers have a choice of about 18 different structures in 13 types of timber profiling and 23 different aluminum structures in a variety of colors (NCS - natural colors). All elements of the FineLine wood-aluminum facade system have been tested by the renowned German research institute ift Rosenheim and have shown excellent results, as well as passed a successful test of compliance with GOST at the certification center in Krasnoyarsk in Russia. UNILUX is the only developer of such a system in Europe, supplying "from one source" wooden elements and connectors, glass fixing elements, as well as interior doors and entrance lobbies. UNILUX comprehensive supplies ensure efficient planning and safe installation.
All structural elements are smooth and have a texture similar to the furniture surface. Just like the UltraTherm wood-aluminum windows, the FineLine façade structure is energy-efficient. With overall dimensions of 250 cm x 120 cm and a glass unit thickness of 44 mm with Ug = 0.6, it has an Ucw value of 0.73 (according to tests in accordance with GOST and APROK R0 = 1.37 m2 ° C / W).
Facade systems FineLine can be used in the construction of any buildings and structures: villas, winter gardens, shops, passages, hotels, offices, schools, kindergartens, concert halls, residential buildings, etc.
Wooden windows - Holz Meisterfenster Programm
UNILUX wooden windows are made from three types of wood: pine, larch and exotic species. The coatings are paints with specially developed UV blocking technology to extend the service life, as well as special coatings in various shades.
Window constructions are made in three versions: "Modern", "Standard", "Rustic", with different types of opening. The hardware used is similar to that commonly used for wood and aluminum windows, but much more elegant. Apart from many interesting options, such as a change in the position of the handle or opening width limiter, there are also individual solutions for the tilt position, which ensure protection class 2 according to ENV 1627. The soundproofing properties are tested and equal to ≈ 42 dB.
