There are only a few days left before the opening of the architectural festival "Zodchestvo" in Gostiny Dvor, and we have compiled for you a list of 10 things you shouldn't forget to do at the festival:
1. Clean the nozzles of Russian architecture
Come to the festival, listen to forty lectures, seminars and discussions, enter fifty pavilions, see more than three hundred projects and buildings from all over the country - in order to independently carry out a deep cleaning of nozzles for Russian architecture.
2. Collect your Russian Avant-garde Patterner
One of the interactive special projects will be able to look at the architecture of the Russian avant-garde from an unusual angle and assemble your own unique patterner from it.
3. Bring children to architectural master classes
All three days in the children's zone of the festival, a special program of master classes will be run under the guidance of teachers from the country's leading architectural schools for children.
4. Support the Avangard Center on Shabolovka by purchasing coffee in the KB SAR pavilion
The Competition Bureau of the Union of Architects of Russia will hold an action in support of the Avant-garde Center on Shabolovka, a new resident of the Shabolovsky cultural cluster.
5. Attach to the tablets of the Architect's Code
At the festival it will be possible to see, touch and even read the Code of Professional Ethics of Russian Architects.
6. Have time to get a ticket and take a seat in the amphitheater before the performance "Victory over the Sun"
On Friday evening, at the festival site, you can see the reconstruction of the futuristic opera Victory over the Sun by Mikhail Matyushin and Alexei Kruchenykh, performed by the Stas Namin Theater.
7. Buy a set of postcards, a T-shirt and a calendar with avant-garde masterpieces in a souvenir shop
The festival will offer specially designed souvenirs dedicated to the architecture of the Russian avant-garde.
