The new complex has the following advantages:
The operations of metal melting and alloying of the melt are separated. To melt the metal, two furnaces with a capacity of 35 tons are used. For alloying the melt, a mixer with a capacity of 30 tons is used. Both in the furnaces and in the mixer, a bottom blowing of the melt with nitrogen is provided.
Melting furnaces use more efficient regenerative gas burners to reduce gas consumption during metal melting.
A hydraulic semi-continuous casting machine is used instead of a parachute-type rope machine, due to which the deviation of the ingots from straightness in the longitudinal direction is minimal.
The number of molds on the casting tables has been increased, which makes it possible to obtain 36, 54 or 60 aluminum ingots in one casting, depending on the standard size (9.7 or 5 inches, respectively).
For heat treatment (homogenization) of ingots, two homogenizing furnaces and a cooling chamber are used. Homogenization furnaces provide for a reversible air flow direction, while maintaining a uniform temperature in the furnaces within 5 ° C. Due to this, the ingots are homogenized more efficiently.
Automated processes for trimming, marking and stacking cylindrical ingots increase the productivity of the process.
The increase in production capacity will allow the ALUTECH Group of Companies to expand its presence in the markets of Western Europe.
