The Technopark station is located on the “peninsula” to the west of the Nagatinskaya floodplain in the Danilovsky district, between the Avtozavodskaya and Kolomenskaya stations. The effective thermal insulation required for durability and passenger comfort is provided by ROCKWOOL roofing solutions.
“The new station in the Moscow metro will become the most popular in the Moscow metro in a few years. It was built for convenient access to the future children's amusement park “Dream Island” in Nagatinskaya Poima and the new Moscow district, which is now actively being built in the former ZIL industrial zone,”Sergei Sobyanin said at the opening of the station.
The Technopark station is ground-based, with side platforms and two lobbies with pedestrian bridges. A glass dome was mounted on the roof of the station for natural lighting. To create a reliable, fireproof flat roof structure, the most modern materials were selected, in particular, ROCKWOOL RUF BATTS D OPTIMA insulation with a thickness of 60 mm. These slabs have a double density: the lower layer, lighter, provides protection against heat loss, and the upper one is more rigid, capable of withstanding snow and operational loads. Installation of insulation in one layer gives tangible savings in time and labor costs, not inferior in efficiency to a two-layer solution.
The double density technology is patented by ROCKWOOL and has no analogues in Russia. In the updated line of roofing products, there are three options for such slabs at once, so that you can choose an individual solution for each specific object.
Installation of the roof of the Technopark station was carried out by OOO SPEKTR-15. It is noteworthy that the bulk of the work was carried out without closing the traffic between Kolomenskaya and Avtozavodskaya. Technopark will be able to serve 20 thousand people per hour. In the future, on the basis of this station, it is planned to create a transport interchange hub and link underground pedestrian crossings with the metro station.
