Education
The round table was devoted to changes in the field of architectural education, new learning formats and new buildings of educational institutions. Vazgen Sedrakyan, representative of Tim Flynn Architects bureau from Armenia, spoke to the UWC International College in Dilijan. The school has grown from a summer camp into a large educational complex with a landscaped campus. The greenery behind the roof of the main building was handled by Udo Dagenbach from Glasser & Dagenbach.
The organizers of the workshop in Makhachkala spoke about the workshop in Makhachkala: Polina Filippova, head of the Peri charity foundation, and Yaroslav Kovalchuk, deputy director of MARSH-Lab. Thirty participants from different countries worked on the project of the educational and commercial center "Perimeter" in Makhachkala. Yaroslav Kovalchuk also announced two summer workshops: in Yakutsk and in Moscow. The round table ended with a story by Meruzhan Minassian, who showed the buildings of schools designed by Storaket bureau. Watch the video:
Parks The second part of the discussion was devoted to the architecture of Moscow park zones. Tatiana Sharshavitskaya, director of the Krasnaya Presnya park, analyzed the composition of park visitors and spoke about her own experience of working with the Krasnogvardeyskie ponds transit park Krasnogvardeyskie. Designer Daria Melnik spoke about the individual language of the WOWhaus bureau, which is working on this project. They also discussed the implemented project for the restoration of propyls of the Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Gorky - there is a museum of the history of the place and an observation deck.
Director of Gorky Park Elena Tyunyaeva spoke about the new project of a sports point - a building that combines all the necessary sports functions: training halls, changing rooms, equipment rental. The project is being worked on by the Kleinewelt Architeken bureau, and its founder, Sergei Pereslegin, told the roundtable participants how important it was to make the building permeable and combine it with the environment with the help of large glazing surfaces.
