in Berlin, within the framework of the German BrandAward 2016, Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH, a member of the ABB Group, was awarded the title of one of the strongest brands in Germany by the German Design Council in the category “Industry Leader in Branding”.
“It is a special honor for Busch-Jaeger to win this renowned award. This further underlines the fact that we are one of the strongest brands in Germany,”said Adalbert M. Neumann, CEO of Busch-Jaeger.
The aim of the German Brand Award is to reward companies that are pioneers in the branding world. Only companies nominated by the German Brand Institute can compete for the award. The German Brand Institute was founded by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung (a specialized brand consulting company) more than 60 years ago after an appeal to the Bundestag (German parliament).
More than 90% of decision-makers see brand as an essential factor in a company's success and a key to important business goals. Busch-Jaeger is one of the strongest brands in Germany and operates throughout the country. The company employs about 1000 employees, products are exported to more than 60 countries of the world, including Russia.
Busch-Jaeger has been ahead of its competitors for years; has always been at the top in consumer surveys in terms of brand awareness. Last year, for example, Busch-Jaeger was the only company in the electrical engineering sector to be included in the list of German technology brands with innovative thinking in the "Made in Germany 4.0" study conducted by the Brand Trust consultancy.
Excellent brand awareness is the result of years of consistent brand strategy and emotionally charged consumer-oriented communications. Employees were also involved in this process, training as brand ambassadors at the renowned University of St. Gallen.
Through its ‘Living Space®’) Busch-Jaeger is at the forefront of current trends in smart homes and smart buildings and has successfully implemented the concepts of holistic smart home networking and building systems technology. This strategy has been reinforced by partnerships with renowned market leaders such as Bang & Olufsen (Hi-End consumer electronics), Miele (kitchen appliances), GARDENA (garden appliances) and Philips (LED lighting technology).
Innovation is the future, but for Busch-Jaeger it is also part of the tradition. The company has been a driver in the electrical industry, driving innovation for over 135 years. As the market leader in electrical installations, Busch-Jaeger's portfolio includes nearly 6,000 product names, from a complete range of wiring accessories with switches, sockets, dimmers, motion detectors to door communication systems and high-performance electronic products for building automation. Comprehensive solutions, innovative product concepts, high design quality and intuitive operation are all essential parts of the strong Busch-Jaeger brand.
“The growing markets for smart homes and smart buildings still represent huge potential. Busch-Jaeger is in an excellent position to take advantage of these market opportunities,”says Adalbert Neumann. “Receiving the German Brand Award is a valuable confirmation of our market leadership and an incentive to continue working in this direction.”
