ROCKFON invites representatives of the architectural community to take part in the ROCKFON Concept of ceilings, acoustic, life. ROCKFON products will help to embody any creative design idea of young architects and designers.
The aim of the competition is to attract the attention of architects and designers to the design of buildings with a favorable acoustic environment, the creation of an attractive and elegant ceiling space, using ROCKFON suspended ceilings and wall panels.
The architectural competition starts on September 1 and will last
until September 25, 2016.
Architects, designers, decorators, design organizations, design bureaus, design studios and workshops, students of specialized universities and faculties who are ready to implement bold design ideas are invited to participate in the competition.
Interior projects containing a creative concept and an innovative approach using ROCKFON products are accepted for consideration. Functional interiors must be able to be realized further. The wide range of ROCKFON company will allow to embody all the creative ideas of the participants of the competition. Each competitor can apply for an unlimited number of projects.
The competition consists of five nominations in accordance with the functional purpose of the buildings, in each of which one winning project will be selected.
The winners will travel to Italy and attend the Venice Architecture Biennale in October 2016, as well as participate in the super final, the winner of which will receive a prize: a grant for a one-year course in any architectural educational institution of the Russian Federation or participation in an international architectural master class.

Malmö Live complex

At the annual award in Sweden, the Malmö project was voted “Building of the Year”. To implement the design idea in the commercial and cultural center, acoustic panels ROCKFON Sonar, VertiQ were used®, Rockfon Color-all®.
ROCKFON products were used on 19,000 square meters in the cultural and commercial center in Malmö. ROCKFON Sonar ceiling tiles were used to bring the architectural idea to the lobby building to maintain the elegant look of the space. For wall solutions, the architect opted for white ROCKFON VertiQ acoustic wall panels and gray ROCKFON Color-all. The use of ROCKFON products was the solution for achieving acoustic comfort in a building. Combined with sound absorption, ROCKFON ceiling and wall panels meet strict European standards for moisture and fire resistance.
“For the Malmö project, it was important that our solutions give freedom to design ideas,” says Jörgen Elofsson, ROCKFON project manager. "The colored panels fully match the interior of the room."

Bella Sky Hotel

Bella Sky Comwell Hotel has 23 floors, 812 rooms, a conference center with 28 rooms and is one of the most beautiful hotels in the North. Bella Sky Comwell received the 2012 International Hotel Awards for Best Hotel Architecture in Europe. Acoustic panels applied ROCKFON Sonar, dimensions: 1200 x 600, 1800 x 600, 1800 x 600.
City Hall of Newweyne

The City Hall of Nieuwegein combines the features of traditional City Hall buildings, such as offices and service counters, with a library, multifunctional cultural center and shops. Acoustic panels applied ROCKFON Tropic, dimensions: 600 x 600, 1200 x 600.
Main Library of the University of Helsinki
architects: Anttinen Oiva Architects
The University of Helsinki Main Library has been integrated into a busy, densely built city block and has become a new meeting place for Helsinki residents. The building frame is the only thing left of the former shopping center, which stood there before, with a brown brick facade. New urban style and curved lines look great with panels ROCKFON Mono Acousticthat were used on the walls of the imposing atrium, and Industrial opal behind latticed metal ceilings.
