The annual competition for the development of conceptual solutions for facades and adjacent territories, held by GRADAS, again invites everyone to participate: architects, designers, students of specialized universities and architectural design studios.
The works are presented in three nominations:
"Design without borders" - to develop ideas for volumetric metal cassettes for the following objects (at the choice of the competitor): a shopping center, a business center, a sports complex, a solution for renovation, etc. Examples of implemented volumetric GRADAS cassettes can be found here.
"In harmony with nature" - proposals for the arrangement, metal products (gazebos, benches, fences, etc.) of public areas: parks, playgrounds, pedestrian walkways, etc. The proposal must contain a collection of small architectural forms in the same style and applicable to the given space. It is advisable to provide a descriptive part that will allow you to better understand the author's idea.
"Interior IDEA" - to offer the design of interior elements (at the choice of the competitor): a private house, apartment, restaurant / cafe, public premises, etc. using metal decor elements.

Submission of materials for the competition - until 30.09.2016
Prize fund:
1st place: The winner receives a cash reward of 47,000 rubles, a participant's diploma and an offer for further cooperation.
2nd place: The winner receives a cash reward of 24,000 rubles, a participant's diploma and an offer for further cooperation.
3rd place: The winner receives a cash reward of 13,000 rubles and a participant's diploma.
All winners of the competition will be presented on the website www.gradas.ru, in the VKontakte group and on Instagram # archigradas.
If the idea is realized, a link to authorship will be present in all advertising booklets, at exhibitions, as well as in ready-made projects of the GRADAS company.
The project should include:
- a completed application form for the statement of authorship, indicating the names and contacts of the participant or participants;
- a brief description of the project idea submitted for the competition;
- visualization of the proposed work in electronic form - a sketch in any convenient format (3D, drawing in a graphics program or just a scanned sketch).
Materials used and technological limitations that must be taken into account when creating a concept.

- steel (black, galvanized, stainless, Cor-Ten);
- aluminum;

Technological limitations:
- perforation - the size of the processed surface is not more than 1500x4000 mm,
- hole type for perforation - any geometric shape inscribed in a circle up to 110 mm;
- laser cutting - the size of the processed surface is not more than 1500x4000 mm;
- embossing - the size of the processed surface is not more than 1500x4000 mm, the embossing height is not more than 5 metal thicknesses;
- bending - bending length up to 4000 mm.

- illumination of areas of perforation or laser cutting.
