Facade with balconies
New housing estate in the old part of Helsinki is waiting for new settlers. The brick-black background is diluted with modern bright warm yellow tones. Glass balconies from Lumon are the main decoration of the facade. They are scattered randomly, like cubes, diluted with additional elements. The architect tried to get away from the correct forms, expected lines and colors.

Relatively small, bright apartments look bigger thanks to the natural light that enters the huge windows, through the transparent glazing of the balcony, and the abundance of white in the interior.

Combining the kitchen and living room into a single room with the ability to access the balcony will not surprise a Russian person. But one small detail: low windows and a glass balcony door turn this room into a comfortable area, even with a minimum of designer efforts. The living room is cozy, comfortable and pleasant, because it is naturally light and fresh.
There is a small table on the balcony where you can have breakfast outdoors. Lumon glass sliding doors protect from the wind. Furniture does not need to be removed in winter. Snow does not fall on the glazed balcony.
Modern ventilation and heating systems
The apartments are equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation systems with heat recovery with the ability to control the degree of heating. The cost of the apartment will be paid off by the possibility of saving resources and money for heating the premises. Warm, heated air does not go into the chimney, but heats up the incoming fresh air. Very simple, but correct! Installing a recuperator can save up to 40% energy. The glazed balcony serves as a buffer zone, providing fresh air without drafts during the cold season. Balcony air warms up on sunny days like in a greenhouse and this is another 5-10% of the saved resources.
The bathroom has a sauna
The bathroom is a complete room with a window. The bathroom includes a sauna. Shower enclosed by glass. All communications are hidden in the walls and floor. The water flows into the floor drain, which has become traditional for Finnish new buildings.
Common areas
The house has common technical rooms where you can wash and dry clothes, and a club room for meeting friends.
Courtyard
A lot of attention is paid to the courtyard area. The yard is planned for children to play, for adults to play sports. Cars have no place under the windows of living quarters. There are two underground floors for them, where they will not be buried under the snow and will not freeze. And a place in the sun is for people.
