The neighbor dreams of getting on the show "The Voice", and you are not delighted with his work? Thinking about soundproofing, are you afraid of losing every centimeter in your apartment? To relax without accompaniment, you no longer need to compromise. At the New Year's Eve press conference "Warm welcome" on December 7, 2016, ROCKWOOL presented a new solution for sound absorption - Acoustic ULTRATONKY. Its thickness - only 27 mm - maximizes the usable space of the room.

The novelty has an optimal ratio of density and thickness, which allows the product to most effectively perform the function of sound absorption in the smallest apartments and offices. At the same time, the material from non-combustible stone wool is absolutely safe and can be used in children's rooms and medical offices.

Tests have confirmed: Acoustic ULTRAFINE copes with the absorption of airborne noise, namely, sounds at high and medium frequencies - for example, a dog barking, human speech or music.

The novelty is focused on creating acoustic comfort and a sense of freedom in rooms - while now you can achieve silence without compromise.

ROCKWOOL recommends a comprehensive approach to protecting against unwanted sounds. Even with the use of additional elements, the installation scheme is very simple. A sealing strip should be installed along the guide profiles that are fixed to the existing walls, floor and ceiling. Its presence reduces the transmission of acoustic vibrations through the soundproofing structure.

Cladding materials (ceiling, walls) made of sheet materials should not closely adjoin existing structures (floor and ceiling). Leave a 2–5 mm gap between them or fit a sealing strip. If necessary, this gap can be filled with a vibroacoustic sealant (one-component silicone). GKL sheets should be selected based on the manufacturer's recommendations for their use. They are attached with a pitch of 150 mm to the rack profiles using self-tapping screws, the type of which is selected depending on the design. When installing two layers of gypsum board, they must be installed with an offset of the seams relative to each other. For protection against impact noise and sound insulation of the floor, it is recommended to additionally install ROCKWOOL FLOR BATTS.
