As the Chairman of the Aluminum Association Valentin Trishchenko noted, today there is a situation in which in Russia out of 150 hectares of greenhouse complexes built in 2016, only 45 hectares are produced by domestic companies, the rest is imports. “At the same time, the demand for these products will increase - it is necessary both for large agro-industrial enterprises and for a large number of farms and private households, and domestic aluminum enterprises are ready to manufacture these products. The development of this direction will increase the utilization of enterprises, the annual consumption of aluminum will increase to 12 thousand tons,”he said.

At the meeting, the timing of the development, together with foreign partners, of a standard greenhouse complex project, which will be designed with the maximum possible (up to 90 percent) use of domestic materials and equipment, was outlined.

The associations also agreed to jointly work out the issue of supporting domestic manufacturers by government agencies, as this will significantly reduce the cost of metal structures for greenhouse complexes.
