The main stadium of the 2018 FIFA World Cup is improving every day: they plan to complete the reconstruction by the end of April. Renovation work at Luzhniki began back in 2013, and during this time there have been great changes: now the arena has a different purpose, capacity, design, constructive and technological "stuffing". The renovated stadium will be a state-of-the-art sports facility that combines cutting edge technology with history. The safety of such a large-scale structure is ensured through the use of innovative building materials.

During the reconstruction of the sports arena, the most modern engineering solutions and proven world technologies were used to ensure the highest level of comfort and safety for visitors. For fire protection of the internal communications system, non-combustible stone wool mats ROCKWOOL - WIRED MAT are used. The products are covered with galvanized wire mesh on one side. They allow you to solve three problems at once: to provide thermal insulation, sound insulation and fire protection of air ducts. The roll shape of the material makes it possible to carry out fire protection of round and rectangular air ducts.

Also, for thermal insulation of pipelines at Luzhniki, ROCKWOOL 100 wound cylinders made of stone wool coated with aluminum foil were used. They help to reduce heat loss, increase the thermal resistance of the structure and solve the problem of sound insulation. An important advantage of winding cylinders is their manufacturing technology: the product is not cut out of the finished slab, but is produced by winding layers of stone wool. That is, the fibers have the same arrangement along the entire circumference of the cylinder, perpendicular to the direction of heat flow. This ensures the same density of heat flux through the wall of the product and allows you to accurately calculate and select the optimal cylinder thickness for pipeline insulation. Foil on the surface of the cylinders improves their thermal insulation properties and protects against moisture.

In addition, in 2015, the designers also chose non-combustible ROCKWOOL materials - stone wool slabs FACADE BATTS - to insulate the numerous facades of the stadium. Thus, reconstruction with the help of the company's solutions will increase the durability and energy efficiency of the sports facility, ensure the safety and comfort for guests and employees.
