We are completing the publication of the winning projects of the competition for the development of design concepts for key public spaces in 15 Russian cities, organized by AHML and KB Strelka, the results of which were summed up in mid-May. Recall that the winners were chosen by residents of each of the cities, and now the projects will be implemented after the necessary revision.

Below are the winners for four more cities. For Tomsk, the best project has not yet been chosen: in the near future it will be considered at public hearings.
Ulyanovsk, Peoples' Friendship Park

“Now the park is very neglected, in winter it is impossible to walk on it because of the snow. It is multi-level, at the top there is a large inscription “Lenin”, we decided to leave it and emphasize it. Below we propose to make an amphitheater with a stage for holding events, in winter the area in front of it can be used as a skating rink, and next to the amphitheater make a green slope with a “lazy lawn” and ottomans. One level below - a new zone: a children's landscape park with a rubber coating. At the next level of the park, statues in honor of 15 Soviet republics have been preserved - we also preserve them and emphasize with flower beds. Below the sculptures is the activity level with the rope panda park. And the lowest level is a quiet promenade."

The architects divided the park territory into four parts: a children's park, a theater square, a river valley and a botanical ravine. Each corresponds to its own category of users, relief, natural and transit features. All of them are strung on the central axis, passing along which you can get to any thematic zone.

The project involves the transformation of the Pevcheskoye Pole recreation area on Teatralnaya Embankment into a modern landscaped park, interesting for tourists and local residents. The concept is based on the principle of naturalness: more greenery - less paving; more air - less noise. In addition to comfortable rest in any season and sports, here you can get acquainted with the traditions of the Chuvash people.
Chelyabinsk, Revolution Square
"UralNIIstromproekt-design part"
The new functional zoning of the territory of Revolution Square will allow simultaneous holding of events of various formats and scales. Residents and guests of the city will be able to play sports, attend exhibitions and concerts, shop, communicate and, despite being located in the very center of the city, enjoy the fresh air.
