Two towers with a 10-story podium are planned to be built near the Vauxhall transport hub, which connects the metro, rail and bus lines. The authorities plan to reconstruct the bus station and change the traffic pattern at the Vauxhall Cross intersection, therefore, the project includes a public space that will at the same time serve as a transit zone for the TPU.
The ZHA complex will be built very close to
the headquarters of British intelligence MI6, famous for Terry Farrell's postmodern construction. A lower tower will be placed closer to it, while the second one will face the "bush" of skyscrapers that are planned or are already being erected south of the future structure.
Since Lambeth County, which includes Vauxhall, is focused on job creation, the project also prioritizes job creation. It includes a hotel with 500 or more rooms and 20.5 thousand m2 of offices, which in total will employ almost 2000 people. In addition, the complex will include 260 apartments (including affordable ones), as well as cafes and shops at street level.
