May 2, 2018 - GRAPHISOFT®, a leading manufacturer of BIM solutions for architects and designers, today announces the release of a new version of the flagship product ARCHICAD 22. ARCHICAD has improved the design and documentation process for building facades. In addition, ARCHICAD 22 contains many enhancements to modeling, information management, and 2D performance.
“Design is what architects love the most. In ARCHICAD 22, we have significantly redesigned Curtain Wall to simplify the process of graphically creating building facades using the modular design editor,”said Péter Temesvári, director of product management at GRAPHISOFT. - The most important improvement to Curtain Walls is that the tool can now be used at all stages of the design. From concept development to the release of design documentation that meets national standards, Curtain Walls remain full-fledged BIM elements."
What's new in ARCHICAD 22
The redesigned facade design approach in ARCHICAD 22 simplifies the customization of templates that define the exterior and interior design of modular building facades. The enhanced ARCHICAD-Grasshopper Connection extension allows you to create facades both on the basis of a traditional approach and using algorithmic design technologies.
The use of various modifiers in the improved Profile Editor allows you to create flexible in customization profiles of walls, beams and columns that can change the cross-sections of elements based on BIM parameters. The all-new ability to use Boolean expressions and functions in element property values significantly increases the amount of data available in ARCHICAD BIM models. GRAPHISOFT's patented Machine Learning algorithm dramatically improves the smoothness of 2D navigation, even for very large and complex projects.
ARCHICAD 22 contains the latest CineRender (R19) engine from Maxon to create stereoscopic or spherical panoramic (360 °) renderings. Teamwork mode item reservation now takes a split second. The fidelity of the exported data for sandwich components and complex profiles has been improved using OPEN BIM data transfer standards.
In addition to these enhancements, ARCHICAD 22 includes other enhancements to improve productivity and comfort.
