For several decades in a row, the premium market for hand-molded facing bricks has been formed exclusively by Western European manufacturers. In 2015, the list of manufacturers of hand-molded and handmade bricks was replenished with the Russian trade mark "Donskiye Zori", created by a young company from Novocherkassk.
Brick from the Don is the best proof of import substitution today. Thanks to their perseverance, the Russian masters of the capital of the Don Cossacks were able to revive the previously lost technology for the production of hand-molded bricks. Returning the traditional look to the building material, achieving a unique color texture of each brick, one by one the master manually molds and decorates its surface with the help of sand.
Each brick of the Donskiye Zori brand is fired in a multi-chamber Hoffmann ring kiln. Firing in a reducing environment achieves rare and unusual shades of an already rich product range. After drying and firing, the bricks are also manually sorted and packed on wooden pallets.
There is an opinion that we cannot produce truly high-quality and durable goods, and only products with the hallmark of Western countries are a guarantee of these qualities. Brick of the Donskiye Zori trademark completely refutes this statement. Today it is possible to create an estate made entirely of building materials produced in Russia in accordance with Russian traditions. The quality of the products is at the level of the best European factories with a hundred-year history, and the durability of bricks, confirmed by numerous tests, surpasses foreign counterparts, and at the same time, an acceptable price, which is lower than Western counterparts. We can rightfully be proud of these achievements of a small Russian factory that has revived the tradition of producing high-quality hand-molded bricks!
