The building of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Center in Luzhniki, awarded with the main award of the industry prize, was designed and built by the architects of the PRIDE TPO under the leadership of Sergei Kuznetsov and Nikolai Gordyushin.

Its most noticeable feature is a spectacular wave that covers the roof, dropping to the ground at the southern end. Due to its large nonlinear shape, the center is clearly visible both from Vernadsky Avenue and from a satellite from space. From above, the wave resembles a silvery shawl at the moment of falling; on the main facade, the golden backing of the visor resembles a gymnastic ribbon, thus responding to function.

The creation of the "iconic" wave required a lot of work from all members of the project team. Unsurprisingly, the building won the Grand Prix for the use of aluminum in architecture - its image is almost entirely built on a sculptural form, consisting of the so-called "pie" of the roof structure and aluminum cladding, reminiscent of the surface of a ship or aircraft. Roofing system and roofing systems designed and supplied by Riverclack®… The building uses 0.8 mm thick Riverclack® 550 picture aluminum panels in various shapes: straight, tapered and radial, - they made it possible to achieve a high-quality coating of a complex curved roof surface.

Benefits of using Riverclack panels® - the ability to carry out installation work in the winter and a variety of forms, which made it possible to create a roofing "pie" that fully corresponds to the original form, conceived by the designers.

The cladding used cassettes made of anodized aluminum from GRADAS.

Work on the project began in 2016. The building was designed using ARCHICAD and several third-party programs using the OPEN BIM approach. TPO Pride has been working with ARCHICAD since the company was founded - it was decided to stop at this program, since it was developed as a specialized professional tool for the work of architects. The developed concept of TPO "Pride" was presented to the customer in the mobile application BIMx® GRAPHISOFT. By the way, it was this project that became the main symbol of the new version of ARCHICAD. ***

The competition "Aluminum in Architecture" is held for the second year in a row within the framework of the international forum AlumForum, organized by the Union of Architects of Russia on the initiative of the Aluminum Association. The competition evaluated buildings and projects demonstrating the possibilities of using aluminum in architecture. Nominations: objects of new construction; reconstruction and restoration; interior design, building elements and small forms; improvement of the territory; Green architecture, glass and aluminum in architecture.
