Gostiny Dvor hosted the 5th International specialized exhibition on the preservation, restoration, use, popularization of cultural heritage and museum technology: "Denkmal, Russia-Moscow 2019".

The Denkmal, Russia-Moscow 2019 exhibition is the main event of the restoration industry of the year and a unique Russian-German project that takes place alternately in Leipzig and Moscow once every two years. The exhibition is based on the successful long-term experience of one of the largest and world-famous exhibitions in the field of restoration and conservation of monuments "Denkmal", held in Leipzig since 1994.

RHEINZINK took part in the exhibition as part of the German Pavilion. This is the official joint stand of German companies at trade fairs around the world. Here, under the brand name "Made in Germany", we presented to the attention of interested architects and restorers our products made of high-quality, natural, ecological and aesthetic titanium-zinc RHEINZINK, which has been used for more than half a century not only in new construction, but also in the restoration and reconstruction of cultural objects. heritage and landmarks around the world.

On the first day of the exhibition, a round table was held in the conference hall, organized by the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Department of Cultural Heritage of the city of Moscow. The participants discussed the issues of conducting archaeological research in the framework of restoration work on architectural monuments.

Leonid Golovanov, head of the Russian division of RHEINZINK, spoke at the round table and presented to the participants titanium-zinc, which is indispensable in the restoration of cultural heritage monuments, which allows to preserve the appearance of restored architectural monuments for many years without the cost of its maintenance.

During all three days of the exhibition, traditional competitions for young masters in various fields of restoration were held. The competence "roof restoration" was first held at the exhibition "Denkmal, Russia-Moscow 2019". Participants from the SAVROS school, from Samara and Leipzig showed their skills, gained experience in their specialty and showed a team spirit.

The head of the Leipzig Chamber of Crafts, the head of the Moscow Chamber of Crafts, the President of the Union of Roofers for Metal presented awards and gifts to participants in the Roof Restoration competence in the awards ceremony for the winners and participants in the competition for young restorers in various areas of the restoration industry. From the RHEINZINK company, the sponsor of the competition, the guys from the SAVROS school received special audience sympathy prizes - sets of roofing tools.

On the final day of the exhibition, RHEINZINK held a round table on the topic "Features of the design and use of titanium-zinc during restoration." The speaker of the report, Deputy General Director Igor Ovsyannikov based his report on the examples of the restorations of cultural heritage sites already completed in Moscow using RHEINZINK titanium-zinc.

The head of FABER, Andrey Stepanenko, who has been a partner of RHEINZINK for many years, joined the discussion of the topic. Qualified specialists of this company have already successfully worked at several restoration sites with RHEINZINK material (Kekusheva's House on Ostozhenka, the Merchant Igumnov's mansion on Yakimanka, Mindovsky's mansion on Povarskaya, Tsvetkov's mansion on Prechistenskaya embankment).

The highlight of the event was the speech of the architect-restorer B. G. Moginov (Central Scientific and Restoration Design Workshops of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation), who directed the restoration project of Mindovsky's mansion on Povarskaya 44.

The round table and the final day of the exhibition ended with the presentation of a short episode of the film dedicated to the 15th anniversary of RHEINZINK in Russia, which the company celebrates at the end of November.
