The first place and a chance for implementation was given to the joint project of IND architects and the Chinese bureau DA !, which was co-founded by the Russian architect Anna Andronova. The creation of a tandem made it possible to fulfill one of the conditions of the competition - a description of the concept in Chinese - and, of course, the presence of a local expert in the team helped to create a project that took into account local specifics.

The architects had several tasks: to ensure the most delicate intervention in the existing context, to harmoniously fit the building with an area of 3000 m² into the natural landscape and to improve the pedestrian accessibility of this place. The compulsory requirements also included the compliance of projects with the principles of sustainable development and the use of local natural materials.

“The museum will be located on five terraced levels with a man-made waterfall. Water for him will be collected from the local river and reflect the sky with its depth and freedom. Each terrace symbolizes one aspect - history, involvement, diversity, creation, meditation. The terraces offer breathtaking views of the green valley. Nature will become a full-fledged participant in expositions at each level of the museum - we blur the boundaries between the surrounding landscape and the interior of the museum,”says Amir Idiatulin. founder of IND architects.
