The club house "Kutuzovskiy 12", located at the beginning of the most prestigious Moscow avenue, is an example of bold modern architecture of one of the most famous Moscow bureaus "Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners". It is subtly inscribed in the context and, at first glance, does not even stand out too much in the order of houses of late classical Moscow in the mid-1950s - and at the same time exudes the self-confidence that is so necessary for a premium-class house in such a good location. Philippe Starck once said at one of his presentations - leaving his home, a person should feel: “I can do anything,” be charged with the emotion of success for the whole day. So, here the idea of the famous eccentric, perhaps, is perfectly embodied. Such a house is perhaps the embodiment of the dream of our time about the highest exertion of forces in the search for success without borders, and at the same time - the freedom that this success brings.
Not only that the house, having violated (with the permission of the authorities, of course) the prescribed parameters, instead of a thick and deafly closing the square, became thin, graceful, retreated into the depths of the site, which revealed views of the City and the hotel "Ukraine" - but did not destroy the lines of Kutuzovsky … Not only is it from the three main sides, the facade along the avenue and the ends, densely furnished with glass columns of curved glass. There are probably more columns here than on the entire Kutuzovsky Prospekt. Although they are similar to a hyper-version of the stand of an antique forum with precious fusts in golden rims, and to pipes of deconstruction - architecture, on the one hand, is not alien to shocking, and on the other hand, fragile and trusting in its plastic openness. Not only that, here, we are probably dealing with a fantasy on the theme of the installation by Alexei Kozyr with a luminous column - which directly makes the house a part of some kind of artistic dialogue.
So after all, it also glows in the evenings. Crystal columns with star-shaped reflectors shine, transforming light into many subtle rays. The interfloor slabs brought forward and the facade of the Jurassic limestone of coldish-gray rock, with a thin network of joints between the slabs and the "frame" of relief ledges, reflect the light. In the evening, this house is a continuous illumination, a bunch of positives. House is light.

In a word, it is bright and bold, in this architecture you somehow immediately start looking for meaning, since it is obvious that this is an author's statement and, I am not afraid of this word, unique.
Such an architectural statement, spectacular and luxurious, requires a high-quality embodiment of detail and whole. It was largely provided by HILTI.
HILTI, a world leader in the development and manufacture of innovative technologies, equipment, consumables, software and services for the building industry, was hired to work on the design of the curtain wall of the building.
HILTI is a company offering solutions from one source … In Russia today, there are 140 companies that produce certain types of equipment for facade systems, but the need to coordinate elements of different manufacturers among themselves increases the risks, since it is fraught with errors, disruption of delivery times, inconsistencies of various elements and, as a result, costs.
The technologies developed by HILTI help to realize the most difficult and impressive engineering ideas, which include the facade of "Kutuzovskiy, 12".
Complex work on site begins from the technical certificates of the Ministry of Construction, for which the structure must undergo a series of different tests - annealing, testing of corrosion and bearing capacity, seismic resistance tests, and this is the main barrier, since usually companies producing system holders have a rather limited range of solutions that they can offer to the customer. In addition, the legalization of each of these decisions requires an amount of about a million rubles and a minimum period of 8 months.
And since often more than one type of cladding is used on objects, and many of them are non-standard, each of them requires its own technical certificate.
To decorate the facade of the residential complex "Kutuzovskiy 12", the customer chose a natural stone - Atlantic Blue marble-like limestone, produced in Portugal. Due to its beauty and durability, this cladding has an excellent reputation in the international market and is exported to many countries around the world for the construction of luxury real estate. Note that the seams between the elements of the stone turned out to be smooth and rather thin, which is still a considerable, alas, rarity for new Moscow facades.
After the customer has decided on the choice of facing material, HILTI engineers begin to work with the selected material based on the characteristics of the rock and the strength characteristics of the stone. And even if the company's specialists have already worked with a stone manufacturer, tests are carried out anew for each object and finishing material chosen for it. In this case, a number of full-scale tests were also carried out, since even a stone from the same manufacturer, mined in the same quarry, may have a different quality.
The curtain walling is mounted on a special HILTI system for the curtain ventilated facade - VFH … The company has developed several subsystems for various types of cladding. Typical subsystems for a ventilated facade include an ordinary or “light” subsystem, an interfloor “heavy” subsystem, as well as an ordinary steel subsystem made of galvanized steel with a polymer coating.
An aluminum combined system was used in the work on the facade of "Kutuzovskogo 12" HILTI VFH Stonewhere slabs of facing with a cut are attached to the subsystem using starting, ordinary and top clamps made of stainless steel. This subsystem is used for buildings with natural stone cladding installed in a hidden way on clamps. The fastening of the strips to the bearing profiles of the substructure is carried out using rivets, the material of which - aluminum or stainless steel - is determined according to the results of a static calculation.

The complex plastics of the facade of "Kutuzovskogo 12" - small elements, protruding cornices and balconies demanded special attention to detail. It was necessary to realize the design not only aesthetically flawless, but also to ensure technological quality.
Some of the tests carried out for the object were carried out according to the standard scheme, however, the main attention was directed to the strength of the system and materials, especially in the places where the balcony slabs adjoin and their facing to the fire-loaded window - horizontal elements of stone-clad balconies. In this case, the strength and resistance to thermal load of the fastening system on which the stone was suspended was especially tested, since in the event of a fire, the tongues of flame escaping from the window heat this very zone - the side and upper walls.

HILTI's specialists using field tests have proven the fire resistance of the facade structure, for which a test sample was made in full size: a part of the building wall in two floors, tested in compliance with all the conditions of a real fire.
During the tests, the fire immediately rested on this balcony and heated it up very much.
“There are no standard solutions for horizontal sections of the facade, as such,” says Elena Nikonenko, architect-engineer at HILTI. - Everything is individual and designed for the object. The system combination does not have any pre-issued technical approvals. For each object, which has horizontal sections similar to "Kutuzovskiy 12", the company will make a new object conclusion. Therefore, in this case, in order to securely fix the stone in the area of the decorative balconies, tests were carried out to ensure that in the event of a fire, the stone will not collapse."
HILTI has three groups of six fundamentally different solutions for attaching natural stone cladding. Depending on the thickness and weight, HILTI specialists select a specific solution that will help withstand the required load and applicable to the region in which the object is being created.
In the architectural project of the residential complex "Kutuzovskiy, 12" several difficult tasks were set. Some of the stone fragments are figured, and the weight of some of them reached 300 kg, and, naturally, special facade elements were required to carry such a weight. Were used several types of fasteners on the hooks and on the clamps. Two lines of clamp strips of different widths made it possible to choose the most profitable solution from an economic point of view, and the absence of wet processes made it possible to carry out installation at any time of the year. The installation system was combined, and ordinary, and interfloor, steel was not used. At the same time, there was a steel fastener in the cut - clamps. It is important that stainless steel strips were used in fire hazardous areas. At the same time, the system itself remained aluminum, and only this element in fire hazardous areas was replaced by stainless steel.
In Kutuzovsky 12 was applied combined scheme, which is based on an aluminum alloy system using heavy profiles, while several individual solutions were applied: for a flat area - one, in the window sill - another, for columns - a third. In general, the object was applied about 50 solutions, and each type of cladding has received its own technical certificate.
Such a design of a suspended facade system with an air gap has a number of indisputable advantages - it allows you to covertly install massive slabs of natural or artificial stone (or fiber-reinforced concrete), including in fire hazardous areas, and also not to tie the cladding slabs to vertical bearing profiles. Cladding elements can be positioned at any angle to the vertical plane. Any orientation of elements on the plane of the facade is allowed, as well as the installation of slabs of non-standard size. Due to the precise adjustment with screws, it is possible to organize the joints of the minimum size without additional processing of the plates, and a special type of fastening ensures quick installation and dismantling of the cladding.

The spectacular plastic of the facade of "Kutuzovskogo 12" also caused the complexity of the implementation of the work. In the area of the balconies - due to the horizontal arrangement of the facing stone, and in the areas of decorative masonry due to protruding stones, the weight of which is greater than the standard facing, and here it was important to calculate everything so that the fasteners did not straighten out, and the standard profile was replaced by galvanized anchor HSU-R with undercut for fixing the stone.
Of no small importance is also local maintainability materials - each individual element can be quickly removed or replaced. As an additional advantage, it can be noted that all elements of the subsystem are manufactured in Russia.
Everything in the building is thought out to the smallest detail, such as fixing equipment on a soft roof.
During the installation of the roof, not aluminum, but steel HILTI subsystem was used, which makes it possible to implement the fastening of communications and ventilation equipment not only neatly and compactly, but also without violating the integrity. At the expense of filling and fencing, it allows you not to pierce the soft roof. Although in "Kutuzovsky 12" it was decided not to make the roof exploitable, the high aesthetics of such work can be applied for this option, but it is also ideal in this case, since the roof of the house is clearly visible from many points of the surrounding buildings.
Similar technology for fixing equipment using supports for soft roof and light steel system HILTI Bigfoot made it possible to place equipment after the roofing works without metal mortgages and waterproofing. With the help of the Bigfoot and the strapping frame, the load is distributed over the supporting slab base, and the roof remains intact and airtight. Another advantage of the system is its mobility, which allows the structure to be altered almost at the last moment, while the embedded elements are forced to be tied to certain points. Installation of an easy-to-assemble and lightweight structure is carried out without welding. Also, the subsystem does not require paint and varnish coating, but already has a coating with hot zinc, which is better suited for outdoor use and is resistant to environmental influences.
Speaking about the environment, it should be noted that one of the most important characteristics of HILTI products is high ecological status materials used. For example, the company's steel subsystem, unlike many other suppliers, does not use toxic and carcinogenic hexavalent chromium. Thermal bridges between the bracket and the supporting base, insulating concrete from metal in order to save heat and prevent corrosion, also never contain asbestos, which is prohibited in many countries, and insulators for brackets are made not of carcinogenic password, but of PVC. Of course, the cost of such materials is higher, but in this case the price is fully justified by the quality.

The products of the company, implementing projects around the world, meet the highest international requirements and regulations. At the same time, the company representatives believe that the main advantages of working with HILTI for the customer are not only all the listed advantages of installation systems, but, above all, comprehensive assistance in work - the ability to receive a variety of services "from a single source": service support, assistance in project development, its approval both with the authors of the concept and with other participants in the process - the general contractor and the customer, obtaining all additional documentation, for example, fire reports, support abilities for all elements of the facade and so on.
The company always strictly adheres to agreements, because reputation is the most valuable asset of HILTI.
The high level of professionalism and quality of HILTI materials made it possible to quite accurately embody the bold and effective idea of the architects of Tsimailo, Lyashenko and Partners. As shown by the high demand for apartments in the residential complex "Kutuzovskiy 12", HILTI and other project participants coped well with their tasks, the project was completed at the highest level of quality, which was achieved only in a few residential complexes in our country. It is no coincidence that by the time the facility was put into operation, only 5 apartments remained in free sale, and the club house itself entered the TOP-5 of the most popular residential complexes in the capital in the premium segment.
