Temporary hospital
The London NHS Nightingale Hospital was deployed at the ExCeL Exhibition Center in less than two weeks and is ready to accommodate 4,000 people today. Partitions between berths are made of transparent FOREX PVC panels® and FOAMALITE®, which are distinguished by the following characteristics that are critically important in the current conditions:
- lightness and strength;
- chemical resistance;
- easy to clean surfaces;
- high class of fire resistance.
ALUCOBOND aluminum composites are also suitable for temporary walls, transport boxes, medical furniture and clean rooms.®, DIBOND® and ALUCORE®.
Face Shields
A number of companies manufacture face shields from A-PET (amorphous polyethylene terephthalate) sheets, which are only 0.5 mm thick. Such screens protect doctors, medical personnel, as well as everyone who is forced to contact people.
Why manufacturers choose LUMEX® A and HIPEX® A? This material:
- shockproof;
- bends easily;
- resistant to cleaning agents, mineral oils, solvents and disinfectants;
- easily modified;

Protective partitions
Partitions, which protect personnel in medical institutions, pharmacies and shops, are made of transparent sheet materials. For these purposes 3A Composites proposes to use CRYLON extruded acrylic glass®, AKRYLON® or PERSPEX® XT, acrylic glass PERSPEX® or CRYLUX ™, IMPEX polycarbonate®; PVC panels LUMEX® or HIPEX® PET. KAPA materials can be used in places where sheets are attached®, FOREX® or FOAMALITE®.
