The China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) is a state-owned enterprise dedicated to the development of clean energy, resource efficient and other green technologies. So far, the architects have shown only one render of the future CECEP complex with a total area of 218,000 m2, but they have accompanied it with a detailed description.

Three office towers, restaurants, shops and entertainment facilities will be located in the park created for them near the Yangpu Bridge over the Huangpu River. According to the authors, the complex will receive more than 90 points according to the Chinese system of eco-certification of buildings "Three Stars", which will make it the "greenest" in Shanghai.

The project involves the collection of rainwater and its use for irrigation of green spaces, sun protection of facades, the use of local components of factory production, including recycled materials, in the construction. Solar panels on the roof and on the facades will transfer energy to the storage facilities and the internal grid, which will reduce the total energy consumption by a quarter.

A highly efficient heat recovery heating and ventilation system and a non-potable water cooling system will be combined with ice. Chillers will generate it at night, during the period of the lowest electricity consumption: this ice will be stored in special tanks and used to cool buildings during the day, at times of peak electricity consumption, in order to reduce the load on the grid.

A building control center is also conceived, which will constantly adjust the operation of all systems depending on temperature, air quality, the level of natural light inside the building, as well as predict the behavior of these systems and optimize it in order to save resources.

It is planned to use a 5G data transmission network for the control center, and the same network will be involved in the operation of biometric security systems that will minimize (!) The contact of employees and visitors with public surfaces.
