The idea of creating the Solo Houses complex belongs to the developer Christian Bourdais, a connoisseur of non-standard architecture. To create country houses in the highlands of the Spanish region of Matarrania, he attracted modern architects, whose creative search within the framework of this project is limited only by the budget, otherwise there is complete freedom.
Thus, among the inspiring natural surroundings, one after another, conceptual buildings appear, delicately inscribed in the landscape. We are talking about three of the twelve houses.
A concrete cube on a mountain plateau: Casa Pezo house
This is the first of the planned developments by the Solo Houses project. The house, designed by Chilean architecture studio Pezo Von Ellrichshausen Architects, appeared in Cretas in the Spanish province of Teruel in the summer of 2013. Casa Pezo sits on a plateau in the Ports de Tortosa Bezeit Natural Park, towering proudly above the landscape.
House soaring above the treetops
Architects Mauricio Peso and Sophia von Ellrichshausen conceived this house as a compact sculpture - a one-story structure with a plinth, as if hovering above its forest surroundings. Access to the villa is via a concrete staircase that climbs up through the lush vegetation. In accordance with the principles of modern Chilean architecture, the project transforms its surroundings, while the landscape, on the contrary, becomes part of the design. This goal is facilitated by the panoramic windows with white curtains, which have become the perfect backdrop for the BetteLux Oval Silhouette bathtub in Blue Satin.

With its organic oval shape and filigree outer edge, the bath becomes an integral part of the idyllic space created by the architects. BetteLux Oval Silhouette is a combination of minimalism and perfect technical performance. But it is worth noting separately the shade specially developed by Bette - Blue Satin, which echoes the color of the sky and even more significantly expands the boundaries of the project.

A ring dissolved in the landscape
This is exactly the goal - to dissolve the new object in the environment - the Belgian architects Kersten Geers and David Van Severen set themselves when working on the Solo House II project.
The house stands on a plateau with breathtaking views of the mountains, forest and even the sea. The circular layout was chosen by the OFFICE KGDVS studio in order to provide a panoramic view and deliberately deprive the house of the main facade, make all its sides equal, and ensure a merger with nature.
The country house becomes a kind of stage for life. The architects themselves called its concrete foundation a "circular podium". In the center of the 550 square meter building is a closed courtyard with a swimming pool.
The round bathtub BettePond echoes the architectural solution, which is also distinguished by simplicity of forms, purity of lines, has no end and no beginning. The handmade bathtub has a non-standard diameter of 1500 mm. The realization was made possible by glazed titanium steel, which allows obtaining the required stability and rigidity.
