On November 24, 2020, the final of the national stage of the international student competition "Multicomfort from Saint-Gobain 2020. Paris" was held. The competition was attended by students of architecture and construction universities from all over Russia. The participants were to develop a project to transform the industrial area of the Coignet Enterprise in Saint-Denis (a suburb of Paris) into a green area for living, learning and recreation. Moreover, to do this in such a way that respect for the historical heritage does not contradict the needs of sustainable development of the modern region.

Competition winners

The national stage of the competition was held online. The jury members noted the innovation and high level of the projects, selecting 4 winners.

1st place took the G&S team from the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Participants: Kamila Gilmutdinova, Valeria Semenova. Teacher Kokorina Olga Gennadievna.

2nd place - Double AR team from Ufa State Petroleum Technical University. Participants: Ariadna Avsakhova, Arina Borovikova. Teacher: Usova Anna Viktorovna

3rd place shared among themselves:

-Team A SOLUTION TO GENTRIFICATION from Moscow State University for Land Management. Participants: Diana Kuzina, teacher Elena Aleksandrovna Bulgakova.

- AZHOZ team - Samara State Technical University. Participants: Nikita Ryabushkin, Rogova Irina. Teacher Tatiana Yanovna Vavilova.

As Antoine Peyrude, General Director of Saint-Gobain in Russia, Ukraine and the CIS, noted in his speech, projects must comply with the concept of multi-comfort, be innovative, energy efficient and meet the requirements of sustainable development. This topic is relevant for the Saint-Gobain company, which offers the market solutions to reduce the impact of constructed buildings on the climate by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

About the competition

- For the first time, the student competition "Multicomfort from Saint-Gobain" was held in Serbia in 2004, and in 2005 it received international status.

- In 2019, the international final of the competition, held in Milan, brought together over 2,200 students from 34 countries.

-In Russia "Multicomfort from Saint-Gobain" is held for the ninth time. In 2019, at the international final stage, for the first time in the history of the competition, a team from Tomsk was awarded a special prize.
