The jury assessed the quality of the sketches presented, and also made a short list of participants who will continue the creative marathon. The six semifinalists included Anastasia Vilyaeva, Alexey Khandozhko, Alexander Kiselev, Ekaterina Tkalenko, Ekaterina Novikova, Kirill Tikhonov. All of them submitted projects in the Design Without Borders nomination - they were required to develop ideas for volumetric metal cassettes for a new shopping center, business center, sports complex or renovation of an existing structure.
Among the materials available for use were steel (black, galvanized, stainless, Cor-Ten), aluminum, copper, zinc. Possible types of surface treatment included perforation, laser cutting, embossing, bending, welding, rolling. Also, the facade could be highlighted.
All participants of the second stage of the competition must submit the final design layout no later than October 17, 2016.
The results of the second stage of the competition will be published after November 20 of this year on the website
