In 2020, the tenth anniversary is celebrated by the energy-efficient private house Green Balance, located in the Moscow region. Once its owners, the Filin family, dreamed of environmentally friendly, beautiful, comfortable and durable housing, the construction of which would be affordable, and the operation would be profitable. As a result, the house not only met all expectations, but also significantly exceeded them.
Green Balance is a four-storey cottage with a total area of 207.5 m2 and residential 131.1 m2… The house belongs to the high class of energy efficiency - "A +". Its appearance was the result of the implementation of the first ROCKWOOL project in the field of energy saving in Russia. The building was designed according to several important criteria: minimization of energy consumption, increased sound insulation, comfortable microclimate and original design.
The main technological solution during the construction was the use of an increased layer of thermal insulation: all walls and the roof are insulated with stone wool slabs with a thickness of 300 and 350 mm, respectively.
Now the owners of the building are saving up to 50,000 rubles on its maintenance. in year. As of 2020, the energy consumption indicator is up to 74.5 kWh per m22, and this is half the standard! Investments in energy-saving technologies have paid off more than 90% in ten years, and the expected service life of the cottage is at least 75 years.
“The house lives well - it is warm and comfortable all year round, there is no excess moisture. The insulation proved to be excellent: we did not notice external changes, the slabs do not get wet, no one has wound up in them, the facade has retained its appearance. I am sure that not only we ourselves, but also our children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren will live well in the cottage,”says Marina Filina, the owner of the house.
In the fall of 2020, ROCKWOOL specialists came to visit the owners of the house to check the condition of the stone wool in the structures. After dismantling the wall finishing section, it became clear that the thermal insulation still adheres tightly to the frame racks and did not shrink in height. The slabs have completely retained their shape.
“Architects and builders from leading companies in Russia and the world still come to the Green Balance house. It is also interesting for journalists as an example of the use of “green” technologies by ordinary people in everyday life. We have proved that the use of energy-saving technologies is affordable, and with the constant increase in tariffs, it is also relevant. It is gratifying that ROCKWOOL became the first manufacturer of stone wool insulation to present a project of such a house, and now we have accumulated a great deal of expertise on the construction and design of energy-efficient housing in Russia,”comments Tatyana Konovaltseva, Head of Design and Technical Support, Rockwool Russia
Green Balance House convincingly demonstrates the significant potential for energy savings, ease of use and real efficiency of the applied technologies. For advice on your project, send a request to the ROCKWOOL Design Center [email protected]
