After major disagreements with the residents of upmarket Madison Avenue, forcing the architect to completely redesign his planned luxury apartment building there, Foster turned his attention to the less "picky" Bowery area. There, next to the SANAA New Museum of Contemporary Art, he will build a 10-story art gallery building for an art dealer. It is known that the old apartment building on the site of the future exhibition hall has already been acquired by the Sperone Westwater Gallery.
While the project is at an early stage of development, it is already known that its facade will be a curtain wall made of frosted glass.
Foster is also currently working with the Monegasque architect Alexandre Giraldi in the project of the new complex of the Yacht Club of Monaco, a large-scale structure (total area - 18,000 square meters, excluding 5,800 square meters of terraces and public spaces), which should appear at the end of 2011 in the port of Hercule (La Condamine district). Its budget is 90 million euros.
