From a distance, these houses resemble the white pipes of a giant ocean liner. the Volga river station is located near the site intended for construction … Now the site is built up with garages, but its surroundings are very picturesque, primarily due to the panorama of the river, which here begins to turn to the east and forms a large, almost completely wild island. Over the past decade, several higher houses have already appeared around - the nearby residential complex "Golitsyno" and the neighboring brick house in the form of a book turned to the river, which has become a high-rise dominant in this area, look completely new. True, now this role is already intending to challenge another modern complex in the form of two rectangular towers, which is being built a little further, also on the coast. The houses, designed by Vissarionov's bureau, support a new scale of development, which is being formed on the Volga bank near Tsiolkovsky Street.

The residential complex consists of two towers on a common slightly curved stylobate. The bases of both towers are oval, identical and parallel to each other. Above, the plan looks like a triangle with rounded edges, but this is not the main feature of the towers. The streamlined triangular volumes are divided into layers, one or two floors in each, which are deployed at an angle of approximately 30 degrees relative to each other. The layers rotate around a common geometric center - a bar, which coincides with the location of the elevator shafts of the buildings. The towers seemed to be first cut into separate platforms, and then they began to rotate these platforms so that the corners protruded.

The superimposed rounded triangles in the plan resemble a geometric fractal flower, revealing that the angle of rotation of the floors is not arbitrary, but the same. Identical shapes have formed a complex silhouette - just like in Japanese metabolism.

This technique has several consequences - firstly, the silhouette of the towers becomes not only streamlined, but also to some extent step-zigzag, freeing up perspective views for the neighboring residential complex "Golitsyno". Secondly, the layouts of the apartments are more varied - there are different types of apartments for each "layer" (in total there are 6 apartments on the floor around the group of elevators). And, finally, the main thing - the protruding corners turn into large open terraces - a luxury that the inhabitants of the towers cannot always afford.

The layers of triangular floors are white and covered with traditional windows. This is the "main content" of the towers, from above and below it is enclosed in a glass frame. The first two floors will house shops and other consumer service centers - these lower tiers merge into a kind of glass boomerang (which may remind us of the plans of Yuri Vissarionov's houses for the Sochi "Mamayka"). In the upper part of the houses there are three penthouses, glazed from floor to ceiling, which form a kind of stepped pyramid, also deployed at an angle.
