The Center for Luxury and Culture project has received approval from the authorities of the Municipality of Azzano San Paolo, and by 2013, a mini-city with a variety of commercial and entertainment facilities will appear halfway from the local airport to the city of Bergamo.
The architects have united most of the buildings under a white porous "blanket", the relief of which should resemble the surrounding hills and valleys. This overlap conceals a network of “streets” that connect expensive shops, hotels, an exhibition and congress center, cinemas, a clinic and a planetarium. But not the entire territory of the complex is hidden from sunlight: its ensemble includes small squares, squares and outdoor cafes.
In order to connect the Center for Luxury and Culture with neighboring towns and the airport, it is planned to connect it to the nearby highway and develop a network of paths for cyclists.
