The headquarters of the bank BBVA Bancomer should appear in the city center by 2013. This will be Rogers' first building in Mexico; he is developing its project together with the local office Legorreta + Legorreta.

The facades of the 50-storey tower (221 m) will be covered with sun screens, which will not only remind of the window bars of traditional Mexican houses, but also allow the wide use of natural light in the interior, while protecting it from overheating; these screens will not interfere with the panoramic views of the city, which will be opened from the workplace of almost every of the 4,500 employees stationed there. This and other green elements will make the building compliant with the LLED Gold Certification.

But the defining component of the building will be the gardens located on each 9th tier of the tower: they will occupy 3 floors in height and combine the adjacent floors into "vertical villages", which should create a comfortable working atmosphere. This will also be facilitated by free, maximally flexible office plans.

At the very bottom of the building - in the lobby, cafe and auditorium - exhibitions and social events are planned. These spaces will face the nearby Chapultepec Park, the green area of which the tower will visually connect with the Paseo de la Reforma, the main thoroughfare of Mexico City.
