Let's remind that the residential skyscraper on Mosfilmovskaya company "DON Stroy" began to build in 2004. The complex was supposed to be put into operation at the end of 2010, but last summer the city authorities unexpectedly recognized the high-rise as an unauthorized building and decided that it should be partially dismantled. Yuri Luzhkov's administration officials argued that the developer had unauthorizedly increased the height of the facility. At first, it was about dismantling 22 floors (that is, almost half of the building), then this figure was reduced to 7 floors. Many well-known architects of Russia stood up to defend the already almost built house. The city administration has repeatedly sent open letters in support of the project, which is a laureate of prestigious architectural competitions and awards. Archi.ru spoke in detail about the last such appeal, prepared in February of this year.

The new authorities in Moscow postponed for a long time the decision of the fate of the House on Mosfilmovskaya. In fact, the construction site was frozen for almost six months. Only in early February, the deputy mayor for construction, Marat Khusnullin, first outlined the position of the new administration on this issue, saying that dismantling the upper floors of a residential complex could be not only too expensive, but also dangerous. And only last week the press service of the mayor of Moscow issued an official statement that the "House on Mosfilmovskaya" will be completed in accordance with the original plan of the architect and developer, RIA Novosti reports.

Architect Sergei Skuratov, whom we asked to comment on this news, reacted very briefly: "Finally!" “I really have nothing to add,” explains the author of the project, “I am happy that common sense won this story. It's a shame it took so long. " According to the architect, now the construction of the House on Mosfilmovskaya is planned to be completed by the end of 2011. By the way, as noted by Business FM, the decision of the Moscow authorities not to dismantle the upper floors of the skyscraper instantly affected the cost of apartments in it. Since last week, the price per square meter in a residential complex under construction has been steadily growing again.
