The Museum Bridge in Villahermosa is dedicated to the art and culture of the peoples of the world. At the same time, it plays the role of an actual public space, connecting two parks on opposite sides of the lagoon. Its elongated shape, reminiscent of the body of a crocodile (these animals are found in the water bodies of the city), is sheathed with perforated metal; it is opposed to the natural environment and, thus, emphasizes it and encourages the visitor to contemplate the landscape.
The bridge-museum, together with an open amphitheater located at one end of it, constitutes the first phase
reconstruction of Paseo Tabasco Avenue - the main thoroughfare of the city. During the second and third phases, the adjacent city parks will be expanded, and green pedestrian zones will appear on it. In addition, it is planned to solve the problem of traffic jams, improve urban furniture, and improve the shores of lagoons and lakes in the city.
