Actually, the move took place quite a long time ago - the architectural studio announced its decision to change the office in early autumn, and on September 29 officially announced the new address. For almost two months, the team of the company settled in a new workplace, and on the eve of the main holiday of the year celebrated this event with friends.
According to the general director of the bureau Igor Shvartsman, one of the main criteria when choosing a new office was its location. Since 1996, OOO "Architectural workshop" Sergei Kiselev and Partners " registered "in Zamoskvorechye and the team did not want to radically change the area.
The new office of the company is located at 6 Spasonalivkovsky Lane. And if the architectural studio designed its previous house in the 5th Monetchikovsky Lane itself, now the designers have rented half of the floor in a large business complex. It even has a proper name - "Polyanka" - emphasizing the close proximity to the street of the same name and is fully consistent with the modern fashion for brands, although outwardly the building, erected in 1980 (architects V. N. Kovshel, A. D. Medvedev, A. I. Epifanov), more like a party institution. This impression is emphasized by the general deliberately enlarged volume, faced with light-colored stone, and by three high granite portals, which mark the main entrance, and the entrance lobby, trimmed with marble. However, behind the matte door with a black and white logo, there is no trace of this late Soviet flavor - the office of the architectural studio is distinguished by an extremely rational layout, and white dominates in its design.
The planning project for the new house of the company was developed by the team of OOO Architectural Workshop Sergey Kiselev and Partners under the guidance of the architect Anastasia Khomyakova. The rectangular room is formally an openspace, but the working space is zoned by means of low partitions into separate "boxes". In total, there are seven such boxes - one of them housed designers and engineers, the others are occupied by teams of chief project architects, of which there are six in the workshop. There are only two separate offices in the workshop - for the general director and the accounting department - they are located right behind the reception desk, and the central office space is reserved for meeting rooms.
As in the old office, there are two meeting rooms. One is designed for meetings with customers and performs representative functions: its interior is decorated with numerous diplomas and awards of the company, and the role of one of the walls is played by a tall glass showcase, which houses a collection of models of the best buildings of the bureau. By the way, this fascinating exposition is located directly opposite the entrance to the workshop, thanks to which a new visitor can immediately get a very visible idea of the company's achievements.
The second meeting room has a smaller area and is intended for internal meetings - fenced off with shelving, it also serves as both the company's archive, where project documentation is stored, and a library, where professional literature and architectural magazines are collected. Another independent room is a model workshop, where a large cardboard dragon is now being "assembled". On the eve of New Year's holidays, the symbol of 2012 will serve as a basket for collectingts (a lottery is held annually in the workshop, and employees play the right to congratulate one of their colleagues), and then it will become an ornament of the office interior, along with numerous models hung on the walls.
The housewarming itself was extremely informal. There were no official speeches here, nor any obligatory program. Employees of OOO Architectural Workshop Sergey Kiselev and Partners invited each newly arrived guest to a tour of the new office, for which he then “paid” with a toast.
Sergey Skuratov, Boris Levyant, Vladimir Plotkin, Nikolay Belousov, Vyacheslav Bogachkin, Alexander Asadov and many other architects came to congratulate their colleagues.
For many of them, for example, Sergei Skuratov and Vyacheslav Bogachkin, the bureau founded by Sergei Kiselev and Igor Shvartsman was a place of work for a long time, from which they went on an independent voyage.
Among the guests invited to the housewarming were also many employees of the GIPRONII RAS - the institute where Kiselev and Shvartsman themselves began their careers and where many current and former employees of the workshop came from.
Naturally, it was not withoutts: for the housewarming, the architectural workshop was presented with a horseshoe, a guardian angel, designed to protect its new office from adversity, and even a biography of Steve Jobs - a symbol of the fact that any accomplishments are possible.
