Moving during the rally on December 24 along Sakharov Avenue, we, like many, in the intervals between chants (yes, very refreshing), turned our heads in search of acquaintances, including familiar architects. The phones behaved strangely, and they found few acquaintances: one filmmaker, one arch critic - Elena Gonzalez, and one architect - Sergei Skuratov. “And here I saw wonderful guys in costumes of different animals, they said: we are also architects,” said Sergei Skuratov, and after returning home, we began to look for photographs of architects at the rally. We found, again, a little, but they are wonderful and in my opinion it is worth showing them - all the more so since these frames almost did not get into the large reports from the rally.

Of course, we all went to the rallies not as architects or critics, but as people. The December events do not give anything specifically architectural, at least not yet. On the other hand, it is just as obvious that, according to the precise remark of the curator of "Archfarm" Ivan Ovchinnikov (who recently posted on Facebook a large selection of photographs with slogans of Sakharov Avenue, see also our photos of the rally and another one from Che Fox), “without freedom there is no choice and freedom of creativity. " A sense of the possibility of freedom - this is probably how you can define the December atmosphere. Who knows, maybe in the future this premonition of freedom will be important for architecture too.
