From 23 to 27 October, Vitra's novelties for the office segment could be seen at the Orgatec trade fair in Cologne. At the stand with an area of over 1500 sq. M. The company has unveiled a new inspirational office program called Workspirit - new concepts and turnkey products for open-plan workspaces.

Vitra announced its commitment to the idea of an open office more than 10 years ago and has been developing this concept ever since. At the heart of Vitra's new office program, Meet & Retreat, is the creation of blended office landscapes, built around a combination of individual workstations for focused retreats and larger systems for team meetings (meet). This space is akin to the dense and vibrant structure of a park. Exactly according to this scheme, the exposition at the Vitra stand was built.

Vitra has prepared a wide range of new products for its customers. Office solutions are presented under the conditional name "room in a room". This is the Workbay mobile booth system designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. Each modular element of the system assumes many forms - from an individual workstation to group spaces and microarchitectural clusters. These cubicles are suitable for offices of almost any size and can be easily combined to adapt to new needs and office conditions. The system is based on four curved, straight or pentagonal shaped elements in two heights. Workbay units dampen outside noise thanks to the exceptional sound-absorbing properties of polyester fleece, a new material in the furniture industry. The almost homely atmosphere created by this material is supported by a warm color palette (there are various table and bench materials to choose from).

Designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec designed the Alcove Cabin and the Alcove Meet furniture system. Alcove is a sofa, the upholstery of which is like a thick envelope, protecting you from the hustle and bustle. It's the perfect hideaway for focused work or a confidential meeting, and it's also a place to get away from colleagues and think, relax, and even take a nap - these important elements of daily routine are often overlooked by office planners. Alcove Cabin is a real meeting room for four to six people, equipped with two soft seats, a table, a power supply and lighting.

Alcove Meet is a meeting table for up to six people, fixed between two sound absorbing panels. Two screens - right and left - enclose the meeting area. Placed together, several Alcove Meet groups form a long row of tables. Thus, it is possible to create a number of work areas for meetings without resorting to complex installation work.

The Sphere Table was designed by Dutch designer Hella Jongerius for privacy in an open office environment. The hemispherical insulating shield can be attached to any of the four legs of a small wooden table. It is made of plexiglass (plexiglass) and suppresses noise, and its milky translucent surface allows light to penetrate. Combined with the warmth of a wooden table, this hemisphere creates a welcoming environment, combining the futuristic fleur of a shining ball with the familiar archetype of a wooden table.

Chair with "hood" ID Trim Cap by Antonio Citterio. Thanks to the special “hood” positioned around the user's head, this chair is especially comfortable in the modern open office environment, as it provides both visual and acoustic protection. Made from heavy industrial felt, the hood is available in a variety of colors. Thanks to it, the chair turns into a quiet corner in the middle of a busy office and allows you to concentrate without leaving your workplace.

Cork platform table for concentrated work in a crowded office environment designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The cork table consists of a wide tabletop platform, divided into individual work spaces. Dividers are vertical panels that rise from the floor level and visually "cut" the countertop, forming partitions between working people. But this does not mean that employees are working against a wall - when the panels are slightly displaced, a gap is formed that allows employees sitting opposite each other to communicate.

In the retreat category, the Swing Sofa by Berlin-based designer Werner Aisslinger is offered. Swing Sofa brings relaxation to the busy office environment. Hanging on a stable metal A-frame, this sofa for two is completely safe - excessive shocks are "dampened" by a special spring built into the top of the frame.

In addition, even more ergonomic and healthy new office chairs were presented at the exhibition:

- Physix, designed by Alberto Meda. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The designer uses the interaction of three elements to create a new, dynamic seating experience: flexible frame construction, elastic knit trim, and stabilizing mechanism. Polyamide side profiles can be shaped like a flexible hinge. Especially for the Physix chair, Alberto Meda and Vitra have developed a new intricate knit material. Thanks to the elasticity of the fabric, a three-dimensional transformation of the seat is possible - back and forth, right and left and diagonally. Additional counter-balancing elements ensure precise and synchronized movements.

- ID Air, Pivot, Visavis 3 and Visaroll 3, designed by Antonio Citterio. ID Air chairs combine innovative plastic with carefully calculated backrest perforations. Together they guarantee strength and flexibility where needed, while providing back support. The flexibility and efficient ventilation of the backrest, combined with the soft seat cushion, creates the chair with the highest degree of comfort.

The visitor armchair - Visavis 3 - has not only a back, but also a seat made of plastic. This chair can also act as an alternative to conference chairs with an upholstered seat. For use in education, the Visavis 3 chair is presented in a stackable version, with the ability to connect chairs in a row and an additional set of a table-tablet. A variation of this Visaroll 3 group is the universal armchair with casters. Can be used as a work or visitor chair, or as an ergonomic, stackable chair for conferences or other social gatherings.

The exhibition featured remakes of the timeless classics created back in 1958 by Charles & Ray Eames' Aluminum Group office chairs in a new dark chrome finish. Their seats are finished in the highest quality black leather, with leather upholstery now also adorning the armrests.

As well as the soft band Cloverleaf Sofa and the Visiona Stool poufs, as the reincarnation of a 1970 design by Verner Panton. The shape of the sofa is based on modular logic, and it can be assembled in various variations - from a circle to a wavy line or a "horseshoe". Modules create niches in which up to 11 people can comfortably sit, facing or back to each other. Visiona Stool ottomans are soft and comfortable, like colored peas, decorate any space.

The Tyde workstation consists of two round columns on stable supports. Its frame hides the electronic table filling and cable duct, and a fleece shield is attached to it. The tabletop rises and falls smoothly and silently using a quiet electric motor, making the transition between sitting and standing positions incredibly easy. The countertop, like the screens, is available in a wide range of materials and colors. It is also possible to select additional accessories, which makes this dynamic table effective, healthy and at the same time creating a cozy working atmosphere. Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.
