VELUX presents a new roof window on the Russian market - "SUPERWarm" window with 2-chamber double-glazed windows. The novelty is specially designed for regions with harsh winter conditions.
The new VELUX roof window retains 30% more indoor heat compared to a standard single-pane glass unit. Also, with a new window, the room will be quieter due to improved noise protection. The outer glass of such a window has a special anti-dew coating, due to which the probability of dripping is minimized and an excellent view of the surroundings is preserved.
Improved thermal insulation is achieved due to the design of the glass unit: two chambers filled with krypton (instead of one chamber filled with argon). This provides an indicator of the coefficient of resistance to heat transfer (R-value) - 2 m2C / W, which is more than two times higher than the indicators of a standard glass unit. The inner glass is “triplex” (two glasses glued together), which provides additional safety. It has a Low-E reflective coating that helps to keep warm indoors.
The construction of the glass unit also improves the soundproofing properties - 35 Db instead of the standard 32 Db. The outer glass has a special "anti-dew" coating - a metallized coating that allows you to keep more heat on the glass surface. Thus, even when it is cool and humid outside (which often happens in the morning), the coating prevents dew from falling out, while maintaining a beautiful view from the window.
As standard, VELUX roof windows with double glazing have glued pine wood frames (model VELUX GGL 3065). They are offered in a wide range of sizes from 55x78cm to 114x140cm. It is also possible to order windows with a moisture-resistant polyurethane coating (model VELUX GGU 3065) and windows with electric control (model VELUX GGL / GGU INTEGRA).
