The residential building located on Cardine Street includes 97 ordinary and 20 social apartments. At the request of the developer, the building was made energy efficient, counting on a consumption of no more than 50 kW / h / m2 per year - not counting the electricity generated by solar panels installed on the roof (120 MW / year).
Choosing the optimal shape for the future construction, the architects settled on the "crown": this is a compact volume that allows you to allocate a significant part of the site for a park and reduce heat loss. The circular plan gave all the apartments natural light and through-ventilation as they open onto the park and the spacious courtyard.
Asymmetrical facades do not obscure the perspective of any of the neighboring buildings, and the roofs covered with solar panels shine in the sun, as a crown should.
The facades from the side of the park are covered with an openwork metal mesh, and from the courtyard the lower part of the walls is covered with polished aluminum panels that absorb noise and provide acoustic comfort to the inhabitants of the house.
