The Flos factory was one of twelve companies selected to represent the greatness of Italian design at the new exhibition "Influenza Syndrome" (La Sindrome dell'Influenza), which takes place at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.

The exhibition is divided into three parts, corresponding to three historical moments in the period from the post-war years to the present day: the "golden age" of the great masters, the design of the 70s and a new context.

The installation dedicated to Flos is included in the third section, which demonstrates how new designer brands fit into the Made in Italy context. To show the true character of Flos, curator Pierluigi Nikolin selected the ironic and poetic Israeli artist and designer Ron Gilad. He prepared the installation "Light Dinner": Gilad placed the iconic Flos lamps, embodying modern design, around a round table; objects became people - alive and sensitive, with their own stories and emotions.

“Like important guests, they converse amiably with each other and, ideally, with their ancestors, and old 'smug' lamps from above illuminate a metaphorical banquet. As they tell their stories, the intensity of the light changes, flashing and pale, as it happens with sensitive natures, - this is how Ron Gilad commented on his work with Flos. The Syndrome of Influence exhibition at the Triennale Design Museum runs until February 23, 2014.

The Flos factory in Russia is represented by ARCHI STUDIO.
