The Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel with 357 rooms is located next to the Fira de Barcelona exhibition center. This 27-story tower is in two parts, connected by a full-height green atrium. In addition, the surrounding area is landscaped, a terrace around the "suites" on the 26th floor and a roof with a swimming pool and a restaurant. Palm trees form a significant part of this greenery, and even most of the windows are made in the form of the crowns of this tree. The same pattern is applied to the glass parts of the façade.
The white concrete facades are designed to reflect sunlight and protect the interior from overheating, and only the north side of the building is made in dark colors, since it is rarely visited by the sun, and its warmth is needed in winter.
The interiors of the rooms are designed in white or gray. Around the building and on open terraces, a California palm tree of the Washingtonia genus is planted, and in the atrium there is a light-resistant Australian Hoveya Forster palm. In the panoramic restaurant on the 14th floor, there are no palm trees due to the low height of the ceilings, and the greenery is dominated by elephant yucca.
