As the level of material consciousness and well-being of the living environment develops, improving its quality and harmonious coexistence with nature are becoming more and more relevant for society, which is manifested in modern architecture and design. As a result of the popularization of the green theme and green initiatives, environmentally friendly living conditions of the population and the principles of their provision are acquiring significant importance.

It is no secret that buildings built in a modern style are often objects with a large glazing area - this explains the increased attention of architects to the possibility of using large windows. Solid glazing is not only a design find, but also a reasonable, efficient use of renewable energy. Large windows allow the building to look stylish, enable residents to enjoy an almost panoramic view, while the building itself is illuminated and even heated by solar energy.

The problem of heat loss has already been solved - modern technologies allow glass not to give off heat, but to retain it, which makes it possible to save on heating. Some difficulties can arise when using unsuitable systems and heating devices. Why are design decisions made that deprive the use of extensive glazing of meaning? It is difficult to imagine, but maybe because these specialists do not know about the existence of heating devices designed specifically for installation in the floor?

Over the past years, quite a few imported and domestic convectors built into the floor have appeared on the Russian market, but in general they are similar. The Termoros company has a different offer from these options - this is the innovative Jaga equipment. The Belgian company Jaga (pronounced "Yaga") has been known since 1962 for not producing ordinary heating devices (it owns 75% of the European market for copper-aluminum convectors), but innovative ones: for example, a convector with a wooden front panel or covered with natural stone and even a radiator in the form of a column with a ventilation system.

Convectors with heat exchangers of the Low-H system remain a real hit, which has gained immense popularity and is in constant demand.2O (literally means "little water"). Extremely low thermal inertia Low-H2O makes them very economical. Based on the results of research in Experience Lab (Jaga's own laboratory with artificial climate chambers with a volume of 600 m3 and a multifunctional hall, a total of 120 computerized measurements are carried out on site by means of a climate recorder located in the control room), heating Jaga convectors requires 25% less heat energy than steel panel radiators.

The first in Russia heating device built into the floor, the name of which has long become a household name, was Mini Canal. The Mini Canal is a floor heating appliance based on natural convection. Thanks to this feature of the installation, only the decorative grille remains visible, which can be made of various materials (wood, stainless steel, aluminum) and various colors (about 40), which allows you to choose the right heating device for any interior. Mini Canal is ideal for rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, for shop windows, halls, foyers - wherever the heating device must be hidden from view.

To amplify the power of the Mini Canal, a special solution has been developed - DBE (dynamic boost effect). This allowed an increase in heat output up to 300% in comparison with the standard Mini Canal. Rooms with these heating devices warm up to a comfortable temperature 9 times faster than rooms with conventional devices. Thanks to modern technology and design, the noise level of the fans is up to a maximum of 29 dB (A).

Another device, the Clima Canal, is fundamentally different in design and functionality, which can work both for heating and cooling a room. This is achieved through a pre-installed condensate drain pan, a higher heat exchanger and forced convection operation. The Clima Canal casing is designed to be steplessly adjustable in height from 8 to 13 cm, which allows the device itself to be adjusted to the desired size. The use of the latest EC motors allows Clima Canal radiators to consume up to 50% less energy and operate at high rpm with a comfortable noise level than with conventional electric motors, and also allows remote control through the latest home automation and building management systems.

The convector, which has no analogues in size - its height is only 6 cm - is called Micro Canal. At the same time, Micro Canal has a thermal power of about 1 kW per linear meter with a thermal schedule of 75/65/20. When using in-floor appliances, it is often necessary to increase the depth of the floor screed; for large areas, this significantly increases the cost of construction work. When using the Micro Canal, it is possible to leave the screed height for design reasons only: this helps to avoid additional costs.

The newest in the range of floor convectors is Quatro Canal. It is named so thanks to the four-tube heat exchanger. Because of this design feature, the Quatro Canal, despite its compact size, is at the same time a powerful main heating system, a cooling unit and a ventilation system. The radiator provides the most comfortable climate possible with quiet, powerful and unobtrusive operation from modern EC engines. The high-tech "dynamic" four-pipe heat exchanger and fans provide an easy transition from heating to cooling and vice versa. In cases where it is not possible to use built-in floor devices, the solution for heating rooms with a large glazing surface is low compact devices on legs, installed under the enclosing structure.

This year Jaga presents a fundamentally new floor appliance in Russia - Freedom Clima. Its height from the floor is only 20 cm, all connections (hydraulic and electrical) are hidden in special closed legs, the ability to paint the device in any color and choose from several grille options allows the device to look neat in any interior. The device can both heat and cool the room, the condensate drain pan is included in the convector's package. Similarly to Clima Canal and Quatro Canal devices, Freedom fans are based on an EC engine, which allows reaching high speeds and, accordingly, a power that is unique for such types and sizes of devices - about 2 kW per linear meter at a temperature head of 50 ° C (75/65 /20). These devices are ideal for use in low-temperature heating systems, since even at low temperatures of the heat carrier, they are able to generate enough heat to heat the premises. The casing of the device is completely made of aluminum, which can be recycled without losing the properties of this metal.

In addition to the wide range and quality of products, Jaga distinguishes itself from other manufacturers by its active social position. The plant has five principles of operation, the first of which is Respect The Nature. So, one of the main ideas of the Jaga company is the responsibility of a person to the environment, its products are environmentally sustainable. In Low-H heat exchangers2O only recycled aluminum is used. In addition to the fact that the mass of the radiator itself is less than traditional types of heating devices, and therefore, less metals and varnishes are spent on their production, the water content in such devices is also lower, which allows you to install smaller heating systems and spend less resources that are necessary for the production and installation of heating systems. Warranty period for Low-H heaters2O - 30 years, and the service life is much longer. After its expiration, this heater can be 100% recycled. Its performance when calculated by LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is much better than that of any other heater for which such calculations were carried out.

The high class of Jaga devices was confirmed at the Mosbuild 2013 and 2014 exhibition, where Termoros Group, an exclusive supplier of these devices to Russia, became the winner of the international environmental award e3Awards for the second time in the Energy Efficient Product nomination in the Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation category.

The article was published in the magazine "High Tech Buildings", summer, 2014.
